Dubai LitArt Society Launches “Dunes”: A New Digital Publication Celebrating Art, Literature, and Culture

The Dubai LitArt Society proudly announces the launch of “Dunes: A Curated Art & Literary Series”, its new digital publication dedicated to celebrating the richness of visual arts, literature, and cultural dialogue in the United Arab Emirates and beyond.

Conceived as a thoughtfully curated publication, “Dunes” provides a platform where art and literature intersect, introducing readers to outstanding artists, writers, poets, translators, and cultural voices whose work reflects the diversity and creative vitality of the region. Each issue will focus on a single artist or a carefully selected cultural theme, offering readers an immersive and visually engaging experience.

The inaugural issue is dedicated to renowned Emirati artist Faezeh Mohammed Hassan, presenting a curated collection of her artworks inspired by the UAE's heritage, traditions, and evolving cultural identity. The cover artwork, featuring the traditional Emirati dress, embodies the spirit of the publication—a dialogue between tradition and contemporary artistic expression.

Edited by Dr. Ana Stjelja (Gad), founder of the Dubai LitArt Society, “Dunes” reflects the Society's mission to promote literature, visual arts, and intercultural exchange through innovative digital initiatives. The publication seeks to create meaningful connections between creators and audiences while highlighting the voices that shape the cultural landscape of the Emirates.

The first issue has been published with the support of the Association Alia Mundi, while Sands&City Magazine serves as the official media partner, helping bring this new cultural initiative to readers around the world.

As the first edition of an ongoing series, Dunes marks the beginning of a platform that celebrates creativity without borders, inviting readers to discover inspiring artists and literary voices through carefully curated digital editions.
