A Mosaic of Unity: 25hours Hotel One Central Celebrates Art, Sustainability and Community

In the heart of Dubai’s vibrant hospitality scene, 25hours Hotel One Central has unveiled a breathtaking mosaic art installation titled “Construction” to celebrate the 53rd UAE National Day. This creative endeavor bridges art, sustainability, and community, embodying the hotel’s ethos of offering inspiring and meaningful experiences.

A Vision of Sustainability and Collaboration

The project, crafted in collaboration with sister properties Hyde Dubai, SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences, SO/ Uptown Dubai, and Delano Dubai, reflects a harmonious blend of sustainability and creativity. Fragments of broken chinaware from these properties were transformed into an intricate mosaic that captures the essence of unity and resilience. Curated by World Art Dubai and Artezaar.com Art Gallery, the installation serves as a tribute to Dubai’s spirit of growth, diversity, and innovation.

Each piece of chinaware carries a story—memories of shared meals and moments—that now forms part of a larger narrative. The mosaic incorporates seven types of sand, each representing one of the Emirates, a poignant reminder of the UAE’s shared heritage and collective ambition.

The Artist Behind the Mosaic

The artwork owes its brilliance to Sadaf Aamir, a Pakistani-born sculptor with over 25 years of artistic expertise, 20 of which were spent refining her craft in Dubai. With a portfolio spanning diverse mediums, Sadaf’s work consistently pushes the boundaries of creative expression.

“Each shard in the mosaic represents an individual story,” Aamir explains. “Together, they form something greater—a reflection of the diverse dreams that shape this city.” Drawing inspiration from the vibrant interiors of 25hours Hotel and Dubai’s multicultural essence, her creation transforms broken pottery into a celebration of resilience, connection, and hope.

Located in the hotel’s bustling lobby, “Construction” captures the spirit of Dubai—a city that continues to evolve by weaving together the aspirations of its diverse community. As Mehdi Khei, the Hotel Manager, eloquently puts it, “Through unique initiatives like this installation, the hotel continues to bridge the worlds of art, sustainability, and hospitality, offering guests a vibrant and meaningful stay.”
